About the Role

This role is a direct path to becoming CFO of one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the market.

You will operate at the intersection of strategy, treasury, payments operations, and accounting — working cross-functionally across product, compliance, banking partners, and leadership. This is not a back-office finance role; it is a core operating position with visibility into every critical lever of the business.

You’ll help design and scale our financial architecture, manage capital efficiency, oversee payment flows, and build the systems that support global expansion. The right candidate is analytical, operationally rigorous, and excited to build in a high-growth, high-ownership environment.

Kira is building the first AI-native global banking-as-a-service platform.

We provide modern banking infrastructure to companies in emerging markets powering essential financial services — including remittances, import/export payments, and payroll. Our mission is to make global financial access seamless, programmable, and intelligent.

The company has raised $7M in seed funding, led by Blockchange Ventures.

About the Team

The team is led by fintech veterans with backgrounds from Stanford, Dartmouth, and Wharton.

The CEO, Edrizio De La Cruz, is a former partner at Y Combinator and founder of Arcus (acquired by Mastercard). He is also the bestselling author of The Underdog Founder.

Your Role – vp of Finance

You’ll work across—and improve—critical areas of the business, including:

Payment Operations

• Ensure all payments are processed accurately and on time, minimizing errors and operational risk.

• Implement AI-driven tools and workflows to reduce manual processes and reporting.

• Review and approve internal payments in line with company controls and policies.

Accounting & Financial Management

• Coordinate with external accounting firms to manage quarterly financial reporting and tax compliance across Colombia, Mexico and USA.

• Analyze bank statements and financial performance to ensure adherence to budget and financial targets.

• Oversee Accounts Payable (A/P), ensuring vendors are billed accurately and preventing overcharges.

• Oversee Accounts Receivable (A/R), including invoicing and timely collection of payments.

Treasury

• Actively manage treasury operations, moving funds to maximize monthly APY

• Monitor and minimize FX exposure and losses across currencies.

Team & Role Structure

• Initially manage a team of three focused on finance-related activities.

• Over time, recruit and manage one intern to support additional operational and strategic initiatives.

Work Model & Travel

• Hybrid role: in-office presence required two days per week.

• Travel required at least quarterly.

Must-Have Requirements

• 2+ years of experience at a top-tier firm (tech, consulting, finance, or equivalent)

• Strong desire to start your own company or become C-level at a major startup within 3 years

• Exceptional execution speed and a strong sense of urgency

Nice-to-Have

• Based near one of our offices (Miami, Mexico City, Bogotá)

• Graduated (after 2017) from top school

• 2+ years at a top stablecoins payments company

• Proven track record in high-intensity, high-growth environments
